I just wanted some more feedback on my portfolio site. Its pretty graphics intensive, so all you minimalists probabably won't like it.
also, i feel like an idiot but can someone tell me how to link something on PVN?

wow....i am an idiot...
- madirish0
to be honest, i do not care for it because it resizes my browser and boggs my machine down to no end...

I like it but I hate the fact that it resizes my browser. Will anyone other than a designer really give a shit about that though... probably not.
The artwork is really good and the concept is cool. I think the crumpled paper around the edges of the window could be better though. They don't look like they belong with the rest of the site that is meticulously well done.
Pretty cool though.

yeah, don't resize the browser...
I like it, shows creativity

i just wanna get some info quick and easy.

I like the feel of it, a bit dark, and I would limit that pencil transition some, it gets annoying after 2 or 3 times.

If nothing else, I implore you to change the sound loop... It is very old.
It is apparent that you are very talented. I would suggest taming it down considerably but that is just my taste...

with all of the whiz bang zip pow, it is hard to concentrate on the work - It feels like you forced every technique you know into the site, which is very overwhelming - i left after 2 clicks.

its not my style but my only comment is for some reason during the loading screen the pencil looks very brown, or less brown i couldnt tell it was a pencil...make it yellow. or im the idiot here.

yeah, and it looks a little like a poo pen:

i say reveal a naked lady if you're gonna use that effect ;)

you need to concentrate on the design and usability of site instead of how many elements you can add.
very talented you are, but design wise i think the site is lacking.
it's way to busy to be a good portfolio, your work gets lost in all the elements of the site.
back of the bright colors and effects and go for a clean sophisticated way of showing your work.
you have lots of great tricks in your bag, but i would narrow it down to the really nice clean ones, like the thumnails option in the web section. not necessary and very hard to navigate. the list is much better except that it's not already out of the way and you have to close it.
i'd bet my left nut you will make more $$$ with a cleaner / less cluttered approach, but either way you are doing a great job.
just my 2c

again, thanks everyone for the responses. nooner, i agree, got a little carried away with it, it was a project for a class, but i think i will eventually (if i ever find a good chunk of free time) try and create a more simplistic site that concentrates more the on the work.

I found the conceptual gap between the digital expertise shown by the site and the recurring metaphor of the pencil and paper discordant and a contributing factor in the tediousness that ensued w/ the navigation. The user uses a mouse to direct your pencil to write the link for it to be seen and work? Its cool but misplaced.

i like the crumpled up paper element .. says that you go through a lot of ideas before deciding. gives a sense of humility and hard work.
the feeling i get from the overall look is flashy, egotistical.

nice site :) as said by someone else the artwork is lovely but its a bit busy.

I like the screwed up paper.
Otherwise a bit too busy.
