they are some bitches! they are selling a ripped version of one of my old sites.

those fucks deface design. it only further subdues the rational that you should have a unique solution for your company and that it's totally worth the money to spend a little more on somehting hand crafted.
- version30
even if you get the templates for free they are not worth it

Who does their designs?
- joyride0
sevononeThree has it right. Yeah it's only 60$ but by the time you put their info into it, your cost is where it would be if you did it yourself. Round hole, square peg.
if you educate them about it, usually they will go the unique route.

These ideally wouldn't be the type of clients you want to work with anyway.

Garett,
Good advice. I can leverage the fact that (like some people say here) the template needs to be somewhat redesigned and implemented, etc. and charge for that.
I suppose that some of what I see is not such a bad starting point and I can "mark up" the templates.
Bottom line is that the clients would not know how to effectively implement anyways. Maybe this will be a new "profit center" for me .....quick way to the fast bucks!

i used it b4 to meet a deadline and i could tell you. its not worth the money. cause you end up changing up the whole template to your needs so you might as well make a site from the ground up. Also, the templates of whoever made them is very very sloppy nothing is label so you spend at least 2 hours figuring out the layers and whats what. thats just from my experience from using 2 flash templates from them.
neverever shall i use them

haha neue!
seriously kid (the guy who started the post), do what you gotta do. if the client already knows about tm then you're fucked. if you charge them what you want to charge them they'll be like 'dude, i can buy it for $61!?!"
so, just buy the one they want and charge the to develop it. that's about all you can do. :(

yeah. Well....ummm....yes! Why, yes I do know!
But, there are clients and potential clients buggin about Template Monster. And, quite frankly the examples which they show me (from TM) are not too shabby for less than $60 US frickin' american dollars!

if you are a self respecting designer you should already know the answer to that.
- Initiator0

has anybody ever used, downloaded/bought templates on Template Monster?
They seem pretty cheap for "quickies"
