So I keep getting pre-approved for all these credit cards, but since I am fairly happy with the one I had, I never bothered. But a few months back I actually signed up for one because it offered better travel benefits than my other card.
I booked a flight to France using it, then from France to Germany, then to Austria and then back home again, all in 3 weeks time. Checked into hotels at all those places using it, got rentals, ski passes, dinners, cab rides, groceries - everything.
And now it just hit me this morning - this was almost 4 months ago and I still haven't seen the bill? How long can it take?
It's an amex card.

a mate's ex had about £10'000 on a card...card said Lee Lastname on it, they took her to court where she showed that she was called Elizabeth Lastname.

Check your card over the internet or something.
I'm glad I don't have any credit cards yet. And if I do get one, I'll never use it unless I know I have the money to pay it off soon.

Where's the fun it that!

there is no fun in that but there is in fundamental.

Don't have any login info. Come to think of it, I haven't even got the 4 digit code, I always ID'd the purchases.
If any problems *do* arise, at least nothing points to this address, or even this country.
except this thread...

online banking, my man. check it on their website.
i don't know which amex u have, but amex requires to pay off all your balance each month before u can use it again. you better pay it off soon, otherwise, u gonna owe late payment, APR, all that shit that adds up.
anyways, amex does have great travel benefits. i wanna get a black amex card, that's the ultimate status symbol.

Be careful. A common ruse used by some credit card companies is to delay billing then declare you "late" so they can bump up the interest rate.

I never got anything. Just the card and it came with a letter that said I would receive the code within 5 days (which I didnt). I don't have the client id required to call the support or login on the site and i specifically requested monthly bills - it's been several.
they can't charge me late payment when I don't know what to pay, where to and when.
Its the platinum one. Great perks. (like, unlimited shopping for free obviously)

Actually, they can find some way to charge or trap you. Can't you just enter your card number and password into the site to figure out what's up with your account?
Also, if there was some fine print anywhere they can get you through that. I don't mean to come off as being excessively suspicious, but I would still check out the site or call them about it.

Just talked to the service woman. I am not supposed to talk about this (having documents faxed over as I speak), but let me just say they screwed up big time and I don't have to pay a dime.
HAHAHAHAH
