I dropped a temporary 1 pager this week in an effort to save face after missing the May1st reboot. I’ve never had a portfolio online to date... it has really been a playground since launch. 7 years after getting into interactive, this is the result of being a hybrid designer / developer. Thoughts?

very nice portfolio work. you should have designed the ea game interfaces. looks like the graphics were done by some cheesy gamer

Usually, when I hear portfolio crit I think this is going to suck. But I’m glad I looked. Man awesome work. Very talented. I'd ditch the links to the design portals across the top, very cliché. You don’t need to try to be down, you are down. Bury them in another section. It just seems weird.

Thanks for all the great replies. I honestly thought I was going to get flamed here based on the usual threads. But I'm really shocked. Noted on the logos @ the top right. I've mentioned them all at the bottom so you're right. I hope to fine tune all the CSS this week. It's my first CSS layout so it was a learning process. Sweet.

what a coincidence, I re-did my site in about 1 day and yes, it was my first all CSS site as well.
Must be something in the water or in the air.

everyone likes to harp on the aol gig. i have a great job here that is stable, pays really well and they're family friendly (i got 2 kids so i'm in around 8am & out @ 5 with no fuss). people think of those 120 free hour cd-rom cover designs when i tell them where i work. nothing could be further from the truth.

Nice werk mistah B. (fellow aol'er)

I really like the background on the page. I also like the way you organized a brief description of the project along with your "contribution" on the right. i think i'm going to do something similar when i redo my folio. good work too.

I also agree you should ditch the portal links on the top right. THat shit is so 2003! You are better than that. the site is about YOU, not these links.

logos are gone for the love of god! :)

is my logo played? i think i need to switch it up already.

i'd cut some of your work out of there, like tha banner ads and some of the earlier work. there's some really good work, but there's also some so-so stuff in there detracting from the netter work. i'd go with no less than 8 of your strongest to date. quality, not quanitity. nice work over all.
and why not a simple type treatment for your logo?
