How many of you get really tired at work? Everyday in the afternoon I am falling asleep sitting up.
I think I might need to drink more water or eat smaller meals more frequently or something.

I get to a point where caffeine doesn't even help anymore. I think part of the problem is that caffeine dehydrates you.

Water is in everything I drink, such as coffee and beer...

That book looks pretty good along with the 'Raw Foods for Busy People' book. Someone told me that if you are eating the right foods you should feel energy after you eat, never tired.

"I think I might need to drink more water or eat smaller meals more frequently or something."
do this, and then let us know how you feel in about 1-2 weeks.

you need a 1-2 hour siesta after each time you eat

I know the feeling. Don't ever work from your house! I did that for a while and I was the most well rested broke dude on the block.

what time in the day specifically?

a good dose of daily exercise would help too. it will allow you to burn your excess energy and make you feel tired when you go to bed.
alternatively, you could take up yoga. i found that helpful.

smaller meals more often is good, but usually not possible for me.
I almolst never eat breakfast, and always have a huge appetite, so when lunch came I used to order a ton of food, then at about 2-4pm I'd have to fight off the desire to go into a coma.

(May 8 06, 17:37)So make sure you eat breakfast then! That's probably your biggest problem right there.
I always eat smaller meals every few hours since my stomach is pretty small and it helps to stay at a healthy weight and I don't get as tired. Since I've been to university I don't always eat my meals on time, which is definitely a problem. I get really tired every now and then.
I think a rough schedule for the times you eat should be in place.

(May 8 06, 18:12)ah, but that's 15 minutes of sleep to sacrifice! Sleeping is my favorite activity.

you are right though, I need a food schedule.
