i have owned several scoot's and currently roll a LT50 Piaggio that is um,..... 'tuned' just a little. ;)
scooters rule and the person that can say that a 'v-rod' is somehow better or less of one is insane. they are equally as silly, yet one of these things is better than the other.....
nice ride too, btw. while not a huge fan of that model, scoot on!

I've seen people wreck on those farkers ON THE HIGHWAY... where they don't belong (I watched a person get pinned under a fucking car and pushed...)...
... and in the States... we don't exactly have cosey lil scoot-around towns like in Europe... where scooters were born and are ideal (yeah yeah - you get a nice 'Vail' or 'Flagstaff' every now and then - but you can't go far)...
...thus I piss on them OVER HERE because the lil hipster kids buy em up like candy and fucking sport their lil mod/emo/whatever you call it these days 'UNIFORM' and bitch around town on them JUST ASKING to get mangled by some fucktard jock in a Jeep or H2...
... thus I say get yourself something w/at least a bit more balls, speed, horsepower so you have a fucking fighting chance in traffic.... that is if you want a bike... in... the ... states.
I'm thinking of your safety here... you should be thanking me... :)... not calling me bitchtits (jevNard).
Alas - I can be a dick... but FUCKING COME ON YOU CHUMPS... it's saturday night on NT... can't pick on someone's ride a little bit?

i hear what you are saying, and do agree that they are dangerous. but to combat this w/ more horsepower/motor gives one a fighting chance is lame. believe it if you want, but that is nuts.
and i own scooters...... in the US, not europe or south america. it depends where you live and that environment. in DC, where i own them, it is *perfect*. combined with the rising cost of fuel, i will gladly roll up anywhere i want in any part of town and park in from of the door as i watch the H2s, jeeps and every other SUV crap shite arguling w/ the valet.
they may not be suitable in AZ, but they make a lot of sense in many places in the US.

no worries duder. i love scooters, but certainly do not want to die on one. i agree, if i had seen a person go under a car on one it would scarre the shit out of me as well.
i do think they are very manuverable however and like everything else, is relative to the driver. being someone who has raced almost everything on two wheels, i am confident in my abilities to manuver and drive defensively (sp?)....... but still respect how dangerous they are and how quickly it could end on one.
