Not sure what happened, but my roommate and I are using identical 12" PowerBooks on the same network, and about 5 days ago my internet started running really slow. It seems to be acting up in all browsers. When I enter a www I need to click enter like 2 or 3 times before it actually goes to that site. Then it takes a bit longer than normal to load. I've tried reseting but no better. I haven't changed any settings or anything.
Where my pros at?

probably a stupid question, but did you install anything new? more apps running on startup?

I´ve noticed the same on my at-home WIFI and wired connections...
When i enter an url on firefox, i´ll do clic 2 or 3 times on enter to go to the site.
I probed to restarting the Router, the computer or apps, but don´t work.
All of them from the past week to today...
Spyware??

That's a really weird conincidence, and no, I don't think I've installed anything new in the past few days.
But it seems to be all my browsers and iTunes. They're all running super slow.

did you just do the 10.4.6 update by chance? this has known problems- i would recommend a System Pref's rebuild (should be done routine anyway)
go to Utilities-> Disk Utility and run the Repair Disk Permissions on your disk volume.
even if that ain't it, still good to go through and do this to clean up any crap.

Thanks...I'll give that a try tonight.
Let me know if it helps anyone else with the same problem.

you can also try running periodic system maintenance by going into terminal and running
sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
(enter pw when prompted)

my browser is acting slower too. and a friend in France and another one in China reported the same...

So I did a disc repair but it didn't help.
I actually DID install 10.4.6 recently and I think that's probably why it's going slow! Is there a way to revert back to 10.4.5 or is there something I can download to fix the prob?

Same as the others. I thought that would be ok, but no luck.
