i know there's fujifilm haters and lovers, and i belong to the latter. my first digital SLR was 6 years ago, a 5000 euro, 8 mp S1 Pro. Pretty far ahead at the time..
then i haven't had a (D)SLR for a looong time..

oh and to answer the "big camera" question more seriously now, i want to get a camera that shoots RAW, has a high dynamic range and muchos pixelos!
this one has 12 MP, and the HDR seems pretty good too.

oh and although not on your list but on a side note, i got the canon 20d and must say it's been pretty damn good!
also, and i know you know this already probably, but the 30d is the snap...just a bit more expensive. just my 2 cents

i am actually looking for a quick fix, a decent SLR for lil money.
i may collect some more money in the future for something more serious.
only major downside of the S3 is that it's as slow as thick shite on a rusty railway, but then i usually shoot stills and not sports or anything, as you can see on my flickr account; http://flickr.com/photos/7915279…

ah word. what type of lens does the fuji com with?
i know the nikon one comes with a nice lens but the d20 comes with a little piece of shit that feels like it came out of a gumball machine !

I just got the Canon XT rebel EOS 350 with a sigma 18–200mm lens. It cost me $1100 with 2 gigs of RAM and I'm pretty happy with it.
