i guess back in the day, they'd (mobile?) put competitors out of business, then jack the prices higher...

(Apr 25 06, 10:14)ok, that may be the case in the US. I have a friend working for Shell and apparently some stations are actually losing money in order to go with the flow.
It's sick either way, just got my monthly bill yesterday and I can't believe I spend more money on gas than anything else - combined! :O
I say it again, 15.5 bucks a gallon! If I hear anybody complaining about 3.50 or anything lower than 10 bucks for that matter, I'm gonna whip them with an antenna.
