Does anyone here use one of these?
http://reviews.cnet.com/Sony_Preā¦Do you like it? Does it compare to the Apple Cinema Display 23"?
Thanks for the help.

Apple 1 - 0 Sony

I have that Sony, the main reason I bought it was that the apple monitor was easy to topple as opposed to the sony.
Also just in terms of touch, the sony seemed a more durable construction, where the apple monitor was quite light and a bit flimsy.
I was also working at a company who had the 23" as well and loved them, the few people that I knew with the apples were complaining of dead pixels.
I love my sony monitor.

I have a 20", and a 23" Apple cinema displays, no complains here. I think they are great, but, if you are thinking dual, don't mix them up with other brands cause they are very different, brightness, colors...

Spend $200 more and get yourself 2 Dell 24". They are superb, although not quite as pretty a case. You should be able to find them on sale for $800-900 each.

Hey Guys.... thanks for the feedback.... I tried calling Dell on their 24" but they couldn't tell me if the thing would plug into my PowerBook.
Anyone else have an opinion on this. I know you can see the graph in the review but I wanted real world feedback.
Thanks,

DELL is the way to go. The monitor comes with all kind of adapters/cables for input - I can't see why it wouldn't work with your powerbook. Works fine with my "old" tbook.

Hey Dinky... what's up?
Have you checked out the new dells these guys are talking about. They do look pretty sweet, even thogh their industrial design pretty much sucks.

I bought 2 of the Dell 20" FP's a few months ago and am very happy with them. they are the 2005 model, and at the time they were being made with the same screen as the Cinema Display. I personally havent had any problems with color, and no dead pixels here. The Dell's have several types of monitor inputs, so I doubt you'd have problems hooking up a powerbook. I've got an older G4 and a G5 hooked up to mine and they handle it nicely. They also have a video input so it serves as a tv as well. Theres a nice switch right on the front to togggle between inputs.

Thanks... Mr_Flaco
I was looking for that kind of input.
