I bought 2 of the Dell 20" FP's a few months ago and am very happy with them. they are the 2005 model, and at the time they were being made with the same screen as the Cinema Display. I personally havent had any problems with color, and no dead pixels here. The Dell's have several types of monitor inputs, so I doubt you'd have problems hooking up a powerbook. I've got an older G4 and a G5 hooked up to mine and they handle it nicely. They also have a video input so it serves as a tv as well. Theres a nice switch right on the front to togggle between inputs.
