LCD Problem!

Okey, same thing as with LSD, but now lets take it seriously ;)

To those who have LCD monitors, please help... I have a LaCie319, and i just noticed some greenish\blueish blurred sort of line closer to the top of my monitor. It's noticeable if you set your background color to #a0a0a4 (light gray).
I talked to LaCie techSupport and they told me that ALL LCD monitors have that. I don't know if they're bullshitting me or is it something i just don't know.
Please help me to figure out who's right. If you can, set your monitor to a0a0a4 and see if it's there.
If it's not, im gonna have to demand the refund or something, because they don't sound like they're going to fix it for me.
It's ridiculous because the monitor costs $1,200 and it's aimed to "graphic design professionals who work with color all the time".

the issue is with the cheap rate you are attempting to pay for 100% Pro equipment, to be very honest/blunt.
yes, all LCDs will do this to some extent or another, but the very nice, handmade ones will not. CRTs will do it to after time, and sometimes in other places than just the edge. your t.v. at home (CRT) will also do this over time- it is called wear.
now the issue w/ LCDs and this is the insane high rate they are mass produced when they are actually quite detailed to make. trickle down effect and capitalism and you got yersef a monitor that does this 'problem' on the top 10px of the unit. hate to say it, but LaCie also does not have nearly the quality control as some other makers.
hate to say it, but i think you'd be pretty well off w/ LSD and yer LCD in pair...

so is it still there on other settings? was the 'tech guy' a mexican on the street? maybe there's a special techincal purpose you're not qualified to understand? maybe the tech guy just tottaly bullshitted his way out of another call? how old is it? maybe you should demand a refund combined with a deadly threat of some sort?

Madirish, thanks man. At least someone here can say something about the topic :) (dont have anything against LSD though... just kind of annoying when bunch of people fucking around when you try to understand something)
I guess i'd have to deal with it... I don't understand though why pay more money if you still get shitty quality... Next time i'll go with just Dell or something.
