I don't know what I should feel anymore...
I think I'm past the point as a designer that I can tolerate others opinions unless we have the same sensibilities [ie, my AD's always want to use huge bold type and bold primary colours] I don't even think we have a serif typeface in this place...
I was on my own for the first 5 years in this industry [I mean, I was my own AD dealing directly with the client] and the past 2 years I've been arguing till I'm blue in the face to even get my concepts to the client. Way too much internal struggle for me to maintain my happiness...
I gotta get over to the UK, where I belong...

I think you'd have to be pretty insane not to care about the financial side of your job these days. Especially as this trade pays so poorly for the first few years, unless you're lucky enough to be picked up straight from college/uni or have a specific in-demand talent.

i love my new job!!! its so very challenging, and i get to create on a non-stop basis. i have a very strong and so sexy team [i am the only male] i will have travel around the world and i am senior designer of a very strong urban brand of accessories. i negotiated a strong salary with great bonuses and benefits!!!
i love my job because i can smoke all the weed i want!!!

I'm trying to love my job, but...its just so corporate, and I'm not a very corporate. I don't even know if I'm spelling that right, and I don't care.
But the pay is great, and at the end of the year people will be able to buy my designs all along the west coast.

i really really like my job.
the money isn't great but it's not shit either. i get creative freedom. i learn loads. they send me places. they don't bitch when i'm late or hungover. i work with nice people.
the only bad thing is that it's an office not a studio. also a lot of the REALLY talented people took paid redundancy last month so now the atmosphere is a bit poo.

i hate any kind of work dosnt matter if i enjoy doing it. right now im back at school SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... easy this shit isnt even worth the money students pay wuteva 2nd diploma will get me better jobs... more money but honestly some of the people here learning this shit expect a job but they dont know shit they dont know shit!
