overhyped, but useful.
It will be great in like 5 years.
Better than tables for now.

Yes.
However.
People seem to have adopted a very similiar look to designing pages with the CSS layout.I think Zen Garden is partly responsible for the look.
I like to eschew that in favor of using CSS to still do sites that look like they'd be tables, but benefit from the simple HTML code behind it all.

That's the new site for my band that I'm soon to finish. No content yet but it's in a DIV that scrolls on the right.
I just like how clean the code can be. If my current host let me use ASP I'd really be in business, because my typical approach is to keep content external to the page itself (like an iframe) and potentially build a really simple CMS to edit it from anywhere.

mg33, I think you can use PHP instead of ASP for includes... running into that problem myself and wishing I could just use ASP.

Last time I tried that I got it confused with PCP and had one hell of a weekend.

it got hot when every little pussy blogger wanted to outdo each other with their site customization--ooooh aaaaah it meets zeldman's web standards. oh yeah well mine is tableless css

PHP includes are readily available

It's ten steps ahead, three steps back imo, compared to tables. Cleaner code, accessibility, updateability, blahblah..
I miss table flexibility again, prolly have to wait for css 8

CSS 8 will be the shit.
