Ink smearing

    1) the printer will try to blame you or your file...

    2) if you provided a contract proof and clean files then they have to reprint it...

    3)if you were at the press run and signed off on something refer to that... if so they will say you signed off on it. then you say no this is what i signed off on and show them your sheet/sig. if you weren't at the run then and all your files are good they'll try to blame it on the subsrate you chose...

    Bottom line they'll try to blame you but you're the one paying the bills... paper and ink is cheap... printers have sources for that it's the press time and capacity that is expensive... if they have to bump another client on a make good run then they get angry... if it's a whole magazine that needs to be reprinted... good luck! someone's going to swallow that one.

    Any good printer knows the right mix of ink to dryer especially when using darker blues. The all have to mix in dryer. It's common practice.
