... what about the 'humanity' for those who work hard, play by the rules, contribute, pay their taxes and most of all - come here via legal means? (I can point out a few NT'ers here that are in the U.S. and have come here via LEGAL MEANS and have made an amazing go at it...)
I understand a desire for 'a better way of life'... I WISH I COULD MAGICALLY TAKE CARE OF EVERYONE... and I'm sure the rest of you feel the same...

... i'm all for amnesty.... ALL FOR IT...
if they're here now - LET THEM STAY... only because chances are that they have nothing left to go back to (no place to live, eat, sleep etc... I know alot of people 'leave that behind' when they come here)...

I'm not saying it's necessarily about racism. I'm just giving a link to represent a certain point of view. The one of how it should definitely be contained as you said, Ponyboy, but the ones who are already there should not be berated about working harder and getting paid less, and supposedly 'stealing' jobs.
