Look around you. You might even have one or two at YOUR work. Or the restaurant you have no problem eating at. Or the grocery store you buy your whole foods at.

So which one is it, is someone checking green cards or is someone not checking them because it would cost too much?
You said both.

//I'll bring my rifle to the mexican restaurant next time, dumbass.

I see this is going back to the 'everyone' or 'no one' scenario.
It can't be 'some do' 'some don't'
The immigration police can't be everywhere.

The US has more than enough land and jobs to go around. The real issue is 'Nipping It In The Bud' now to prevent even more flow into the country.
I can see it now, US restricting them and a mass of people flood in at the last minute.
It should actually make us feel good.
What does that say about the social services and infrastructure of Mexico, etc.?
- mrdobolina0
do you call on illegals, Kona?
- mrdobolina0
//Oh I see now. Just like every restaurant in the nation can't be inspected by health inspecters because it is too big of a job. Sorry.

(Apr 19 06, 12:58)The US government seems to do little in terms of helping other countries close to them or with ties. More involvment in certain areas and less in others might help. They quite often oppose progressive movements and governments and supported regressive and authoritarian ones. No wonder people flee.
- k0na_an0k0
You are right. I am wrong. As usual.
I must now refrain from this thread as I have nothing correct or useful to say.
- mrdobolina0
Honestly, all restaurants have to be inspected by health inspectors, so do factories etc.

make the fines incredibly expensive and business owners will realize it isn't worth it.

2) The Government DOES enforce it's rules about hiring Illegals. Didn't walmart just get busted? How is the government to know what companies are hiring Illegal aliens? It's a guessing game. When I used to work for the Union I'd see almost daily the green truck rolling up to different job sites checking everyones cards. So, don't tell me the gov just sits around and doesn't enforce their laws. That's laughable my friend.
k0na_an0k
(Apr 19 06, 12:48)If they inforce it for real they'd do it internally and pro-actively and not after scores have been hired by the bggest american based corps. that are cozy with government to begin with

"make the fines incredibly expensive and business owners will realize it isn't worth it."
Kind of like how getting busted by Adobe for 1 illegal copy of software will cost you $100,000 in fines?!?
(If sued for civil copyright infringement, the penalty is up to $100,000 per title infringed. If charged with a criminal violation, the fine is up to $250,000 per title infringed and up to five years imprisonment.)
//Yeah that's working.
- mrdobolina0
Kona, that analogy doesn't work at all.
First, because you would have to inspect every pc and mac on the planet, which currently isn't done.
What is done is that businesses of all types are already inspected for health and safety.
If you don't think that Robin Williams solution isn't the right thing to do, what is the right thing to do?

How about Fox does something about the poverty problem in Mexico? Why is it America's duty to allow illegals into America. They are called illegal because they are breaking the law entering the country.
I realize that they are leaving a worse life in their home country, but doesn't mexico or honduras or korea have more of a duty to these people than america does?

All governments have a a duty to thier people, but no government that calls itself a democracy is going to stop any person from traveling or packing up there shit and leaving if they feel that they are not in the best position for themselfs or their family , who is going to tell them they cant go somewhere ... noone can ...so they come here , illegal or not , they come and what is wrong with that , where is the problem in that, last I checked this was the Richess country in the world , now your telling me that they have a negative effect on social programs here, BS! .. they are only illegal cause of a process, but its there Human right to seek prospoerity where ever they feel that may be ,
people should not have to wait for there own success ,
