recently apple replaced my fucked IpodPhoto with a new IpodPhoto, under its 1 year warrenty..
Now this one has decided to stop working...
Screen has completly frozen up, no functions working...wont work through adaptor or function through my mac....
The screen will burn away soon enough.. its still lit up.
Anyone got a solution?Cheers

yeah. take that piece of shit back to the apple store and get another one. I went thru 4 20g fourth gen. iPods. Every one of them ended up freezing up after going thru the "clicks of death". I used my iPod maybe 6 hours a week. Fuckin shitty ass product. My one year warranty is over now and I have a dead iPod siting on the floor of my office. I'm gonna Office Space that bitch...

you got a good one arinya. A buddy of mine had a 2nd gen. for years, never a problem at all. Then he dropped a dumbbell on it at the gym.
I had mine for 3months, and it turned into dog shit...magically... just like that.

good luck at iLounge. I really do hope it helps. I did the whole "hold this, press that, reformat, update" game. Then in the end, took it in and the guy at the Apple store basically tells me "looks like it's done for".

I have 3: 1 nano, works great besides the scratches, 1 Shuffle that has been dropped stepped on multi times and still works fine, and 1 2 gen 10GB that the earphone jack cuts out but still works as a firewire portable HD.
So what the hell are you guys doing to 'em.

I get the same problems with mine. Every now and again it will freeze and won't do anything. I just let it throw its little hissy fit, then battery dies. Plug it into dock (which is shite btw) and it magically charges and works like nothing happened. I'm still under warranty thankfully. Do I need to bring in the receipt when I take this shite back? Or can they look me up in the sys?

exchange it if it's still under warranty. sell it off. save a bit more cash. then buy the new iPod Holo(gram)
