you should maybe run the OS X ColorSync Utility app, in Utils.

but actually your first step would be to create yourself a calibration profile through system prefs/ display.
the stock profile on Cinema Displays is really blue. more acurate to warm up your greys.

System Prefs/ Displays/ Calibrate is what I meant.. was thinking that was accessed via the Color Sync Util.
OS X greys are sooo cold outta the box.
