I don't think Blair could justify following bush into Iran this time. He just wouldn't get the backing to carry on jumping for the monkey.

One senior British official dryly told Newsweek before the invasion, “Everyone wants to go to Baghdad. Real men want to go to Tehran.”

(Mar 16 06, 05:52)He never justified following Captain Chimp into Iraq, I don't think he'll have any problems following him into Iran either.

yeah, come on, its big talk, they'd be far too stretched and surely the whole current situation will be extending in some form right through the current US term of office. Bush knows he can be as tough sounding as he likes cos the logistics of massing an even bigger invasion force in addition to that which is currently in Iraq are unplayable, and he'll be gone by the time its a real issue.
probably :/
