Clients come to you on the bases what you can recommend them in terms of visual communication. by the standards you developed as a designer, not blindly following whatever the fuck a design-no-brainer of client forces you to do.

(Mar 15 06, 09:02)It's about marketing, they want to sell a product or service. They need something that will stand out. For the majority of people, 2A style stands out as different. Hence it fits. If you can get clients that come to you for your vision, then great. My experience is that clients have some idea of what they want.

Clients generally know what they want, unfortunately they are seldomly correct in their judgement. And having clients come to you for your 1 'style' is a bad hole to dig yourself into, unless becoming a wealthy one-trick pony is what yer looking for...

Just for the record, I think both sites are fugly. I just get tired of big headed, little people jumping on the lets hate 2A bandwagon.
So ford wanted a site like the kind 2A make. Ford made the probe for fucks sake, it stands to reason they have nothing in the taste department.
I mean, if your going to have a go at using tables, you should maybe make sure your own, fairly new site doesn't use them.
