foxtons is nice.
rettie wanted their site to be like that.
they signed off visuals then when we built the whole site, they were like "the site is too wide!"(the foxtons site uses full 1024 i think - the extra space is for advertising of developments)
we told them it wasnt too wide if you had a 1024 monitor (as most people do). but because INTERNALLY at rettie all their browsers are set with their "bookmarks column" as OPEN a lot of them internally couldnt see the WHOLE site.
erm ..... try CLOSING your bookmark column!
its at times like this that you truly love some of your clients - awww bless em.
cheers poomoo.
i hope we win the award with the site. we are up against another property kinda site which has a lot of interesting content on their site but i think the upperstrand one is a bit more vibrant and 'designed'. the other is very gray and bland.
the other site thats been shortlisted is a page for a band thats been built by choppign up photoshop visuals. honestly - someone could create this site in a few hours.
whereas sites like upperstrand and the other have obviously taken months and months of hard graft and late nights.
im starting a riot at the design awards if the band website wins!!! no joke ! watch me!
