How much time do you spend adding span classes to your text on a webpage? Seems like an awful lot of work to go through huge amounts of text and look for all instances of poor kerning. Any suggestions?

Is there a font that requires less kerning work? I'm trying to use Georgia, but it's not looking very good.

0 minutes.
that is a waste of time.browser/platform differences alone will make any changes futile.

Thanks version3, that saves an ass load of time.

georgia has incredibly tight kerning. in general, serif'd typefaces will appear/ read much tighter on screen than sanserifs. there is some golden rule though w/ georgia above a certain size where the hinting displays it much cleaner; hence the fad to use it on blogs (blogger) like 18 months ago.

Kerning large portions of text is'nt even done in print anymore.

i like georgia at 11 or 10, typically smaller but if youre looking to please everyone go with 14.
