same thing happened to me..
last year, while flying overseas, my pb died in midflight for a little while and it was FREEZINg cold.
battery was at full.
landed and it started working just fine.

Harddrives lasting long when they just sit on your desk is a joke. I've had my powerbook for about 1.5 years now and the drive just died about 3 weeks ago. Since then its been in and out of Apple's repair facility 3 times now and it goes back for a 4th time on wednesday.

But aside from that I flew with it about 7 times since ownership and I never had any trouble.
