You need a minimum amount of votes so that a person with a score of 5 over 10 votes can't beat a person with a 4.9 over 110 votes.

Just one more question. If I had decided to ask my gf, my secret lover, my buidling's manager, 30 friends and family to go the site to register and vote for me with the highest score and the lowest for the rest,... would this had been ok? and considred not cheating?

The voting takes place throughout the contest. The site will receive a lot of traffic but it is up to you to promote your design. When you upload a design you will have a promotion URL that you can post on your blogs, bulletin boards, or any other promotion tactic you dream up. You may post your link and attach it to your design on your website or elsewhere.
----------------------Sorry if you did not know this. We scoured our text on the site over and over and over before we posted it.
Out of the almost 7,000 users we have had about less then 2% with support requests. I am counting all emails including ones that just wanted to ask how to lower jpg resolution.
