how come I cannot register now for the last week. when I click on the link sent to my email, it sais please try again at a later date the syssem is down.

hm, it looks that they have more problems with the site than this one... I dont know what I do wrong, but the Leaderboard still does not work... of course if its not defined to be empty:)

They have problems with the site.
Registration si still open. the problems is temporarly.The leaderboard will not work until mid march.. it will be used to show the top designs in the last days or something. this way according to them is that it will allow everybody equal chances of winning

for what I understand, after the designs that do not get 100 points and get desqualified the leaderboard will start workingand will display only the top 100 (score average) designs.

Hi,
This is Ken from Kasei Sports, Liquid Orb, Mr Webhead. We worked with Monson Boards to create this contest. We were responsible for design and tech. We apologize for any inconvenience. No it didn't take a week either.
The problem with registration, which you will encounter when you try to validate is that Hotmail breaks up the validation URL into several lines. You are either not getting the entire URL or not copying and pasting the whole address. This is the problem with the validation email that we have sent out. If you ever requested a reset of your password for Hotmail the email they send out ends up being broken up into several lines as well.
If you needed help getting in last week or this week ... You just needed to fwd us the email that you got and we could take care of it for you.
And tech side. The site is down currently due to the massive amount of volume we are getting. Every one seemed to have waited to the last second to upload.
The leaderboard. I sware that was changed when the contest rules changed almost a week and a half ago. The leaderboard will be shown when the contest is over. We explained this in the contest details section of the site.
The reason was because we didnt want to take any chances with people copying off of the top designs right at the end of the contest. Also, so not to influence voting.
We are working on the problem right now and we are trying to stagger the load a bit.

nah! support on that site sucks. I wrote them and for their reply they just pretty much copied and pasted the faq page (that btw I had read many times before writing) and of course I did not get an answer to my question and request.
On a dlightly different topic, what's the deal with the amaount of pages with the designs? a couple of days ago before going to bed there were still like 50 pages with 12 design in each and then that following morning I checked the site again and there were 170 pages!?! what's up with that? Then today it sometimes showed one page!?! What's the real number of pages or submission?

Isn't this like cheating? They are tracking ip addresses and shit to make sure people don't vote for themselves more than twice, but this is pretty much like voting twice for you.
Anyway I don't think I'll win coz this is more of a popularity contest rather than a design competition

I am the support. One person here. Sorry if the faq didn't answer your question. If you would like to ask it again here maybe I could clarify.
We had decided to show all designs in public view for people to browse everything. Originally there were only the designs that had not expired showing. We have now reverted as to save on server load.
The total amount of designs are not showing in public view right now. The problem has now been corrected to only show the not expired designs. If you log in and go to expired designs add the amount of pages you see there and the pages that you see live and you will get the total which is about 1200+ spread over 12 to each page. A bit have expired since the beginning of the contest.
The server is experiencing an unexpected volume.
I apologize if my answer to you was unsatisfactory. Like I said please post it here and I will do my best.

No it is not cheating. You can vote on your friends you can vote for all the other designs you see. You can vote on everyone. You are rating them from 1-5. It's not about votes.
You can submit a design and still vote on the others.
