I went to the opening night of the Interior Design Show in Toronto yesterday, and saw Rashid's latest piece of design crap. the 24 house. I do not understand how this guy can keep peddling his cheap neon plastic crap to eager audiences! It is garbage. This display was so poorly executed and finished it was awfull. The design concept was riddiculous, it is a prefab house made of 24 panels, which represent 24 hours in the day. OOOOhhh wow thats so deep Karim how did you thik of that. This guy is a complete design fraud! He is a great marketer though, as he finished the interior with all his furniture "designs" and other trinkets, we were told about ten times by the tour guide that all the items are purchasable in design stores... plug, plug, plug. This guy is a real piece of work!! you suck Karim!!!!

Some of his high end stuff is pretty nice, though. I have lots of respect for how large he's gottne his business.
I really want one of these for my patio:

The show was ok this year but not as good as previous years. I allways look forward to the conceptual design spaces, and as I have said earlier the Karim space was wack!! Two years ago the 3 three spaces done by Bruce Mau, Core Architects, and Plant Architects were amazing. You could lounge around and even be served drinks in these spaces. You really had a chance to absorb the concept. Unlike Rashid's space where we had to be toured around by a guide who, stated about 5 times that we were not aloud to touch anything. What a joke!!

I was in Palm Springs last weekend and popped by an art opening at the one good gallery there... it ended up being a Rashid show in which he was present. I was tempted to kick him in the nuts, but there was one good Saville-isc print there among the plasyic bubbles.
