the title confuses me .. i think it is implying .. how to be firm with your design ideas and not let the client or account manager sway you from your original concept

good read - mostly common sense stuff but good to be reinforced.

aye, a good read. I lost my soul once but I'm on the track to getting it back and then some.
You really are your own worst enemy and your greatest ally.

reading it rite now..
a friend of mine told me that only the sagmiester foreword was worth the read.. but i think he was wrong.. the whole book is definitely a good read... common sense stuff, but isnt almost every graphic design book "common sense stuff"...also, i found the design of the book really good... the minimal use of colors... just beautiful

I'm almost done reading it.
I would recommend it, it's nice to get someone elses viewpoint, advice, etc... It's laid out nicely too, and it only costs like $20.

Yeah I am half way through it, its especially helpful if you want to run your own studio & gives good common sense. Shines light to the other side of just designing in owning a studio.

A very inspirational book. I think it's on you should keep on the shelf and keep referring too. I read it in a couple of days at every available opportunity. There's plenty of opinions from other designers too.

I lost my soul once, it fell down a grid after I'd been being silly after a day on the 'jug', but i got it back, a week later I was in Batgain Madness when I found one, only £2.45 too, bargain!

I read it a few months ago. It really helped me deal with difficult clients. I also found it easy to read.
