OK, apart from the language are there any tips for designing a website (or print) for a chinese audience?

design it in widescreen, they see better that way..
*kidding, - my best mate is chinese, we nicknamed him 'widescreen'

they read downwards (instead of left to right). so your layout might take that into consideration..

red is the traditional bridal color, dominant red would be inappropriate for business.
green is unlucky, best to avoid.
white is purity, but can also be connected with death, as black is.
blue is a common funerary color
yellow is associated with luck and royalty

oh and use the number 8, it's a dead cert for money related things for Chinese people.
