organic meat/fish.eggs/milk are so much better, The amount of shite that's pumped into our produce is shocking.
With Veggies apparently it's more important to get fresh stuff that hasn't been transported for days.I know moth is now going to disagree with me...

-------------------when i started getting to organic stuff 10 years ago it was more of an environmental issue than a health issue. It is being aligned to lifestyles now and there are trade-offs. I'll now sometimes choose locally produced - e.g. if i can buy a tomato grown down the road i'd rateher that than an organic tomato that has to be shipped from new zealand or whereever. but i'd contact local producers and asked them to consider organic.
it would be interesting to ask your box scheme if they support local producers.

(Feb 15 06, 04:58)Eh?! I buy organic, I totally agree with you! Just ask Kuz!
Veggies are attention seekers though...

I don't eat anything that casts a shadow.

always buy from local shops.
I've got a weekly order set up for me organic stuff. It's expensive but worth it. And I'm helping small producers.

(Feb 15 06, 04:18)It would be really irritating if the local organic shop bought their spuds from Tesco and 'dirtied' them up a bit wouldn't it?

yeah soda, I sometimes scan the tills when I go to pay and if my special person isn't working I get upset :(. Also does anybody else feel weird when they ask you if you want help packing or even start to pack for you I think it's really strange I like to pack myself. Even if they are paid to do it I feel like a real spare end watching someone do it for me when I have two perfectly good hands.
- KuzIV0
no. actually i greatly appreciate it. I always help as well. Faster with two people packing. You're just socially awkward.

I just stand there watching the girl frantically packing, and scanning whilst I read the free mag. At the end I also ask her to put the bags into my trolley.
it makes me feel important
