i use to use ie6 and firefox 1.4 on pc / test 5.2 on mac and opera 7 on pc as well / what do other people use for testing ?

ie5,6 and 7, firefox, nutscrape and opera on pc
ie, firefox and safari on mac

DO NOT use IE 5.2 for Mac to test! this will drive you insane and deliver compromises for Safari, FF, Camino, and even Opera on the Mac. IE for Mac has not been supported by MS for 3 years- no need at all to continue to dev for it.

ie5,ie6 and FF. I generally find that if it works in FF its good to go, although I have never had safari to test on

IE5-6, and now 7, FF, Mac FF and Safari.
Opera and NS are not really a consideration.

ie7 sucks big time / ff on ie and mac are similar but there are some inconsistency with dom and javascript / BrowserShots.com is hot stuff have to wait a little bit though / anyways i wondering if since most people have windows xp (dell buyers anyways) then could i get away with just testing for ie6 and firefox on pc and firefox on the mac

I only design for firefox now, if you don't use it you can either hope I've done everything right or fook off.

safari for teh mac, ie and firefox on the pc.

Firefox and Safari for Mac; IE6 and Firefox for the PC. If I'm feeling particularly keen I'll toss in Opera and Camino. IE Mac is dead to me.
