you know bill gates gave that 200 000 000 cause he felt a little guilty from ripping off the whole windows concept from mac.
20 years ago steve jobs lent bill gates "lisa" the next year microsoft releases windows with some big similarities. the whole clicking on a desktop icon and it opening in a window was a mac concept. but hey... bill is no idiot. hes a jillionaire. watch pirates of silicon valley. gates is the ultimate pirate.

carty,
competition spurs advancement
pepsi needs coke and vice versa
i doubt he felt bad, gates put in his work too
i can only assume you are a "Mac geek"
brand loyalty goes deep into your pockets eh? ;)

brand loyalty is for boneheads, unless it is alcohol. ;)

The reason Mac's are good is not cause they are expensive (item for item they are cheaper than pc's) it is the work right out of the box, no if, and, or buts!
- mrdobolina0
honestly because you have no options.
they are great machines, but you can't go out and pickup a new video card and slap it in in 5 minutes. You have to go to the genius bar (haha) and have some pasty-faced geek act like a hotshot for an hour to get something done.
again, I like mac's but that sort of shit is ridiculous. I hope the new ones are different and if they dual boot I would buy one.

Apple's brand loyalty if you think about it is really kinda unique. I have only seen brand loyalty for two companies like it, Apple and Harley Davidson.
There was a great article (can't find it) about how Apple and Harley weren't even trademarks anymore, they were lovemarks.

well i have a powerbook and a few points i have noticed.
- the mouse broke
- my screen has 5 white spots on it
- it gives me electric shocks
- my powerlead broke = £50
- upgrading to panther lost all my data off my external hardrive
- within two years all new software was not compatible with the OS
- my dell desktop cost £300 and is faster
other than that its been great.

i envy PC users for the insane amounts of games they have available to them...but then i'd get nothing done at all....

Good old Moof!

Since the Blue and White G3 towers, you have plenty of options; you just have to get the right parts. And to be true full, I will never go to the "Genius Bar" at least my local one.
Also every body is working on Dual-Boot now that there are Intel’s in them
Check this one site out; http://osx86project.org/index.ph…

Good old Moof, yeah but seriously PC's are total shite for design work.. You need a Mac if you want to do things right.. Windows PCs have a habit of slowing almost to a halt 6 months after you buy them and start using them.. This has never happened to any Mac I’ve owned
