I'm sure the other employers if they are worth anything would have you... sure they'll be a bit pissed off... but that is purely because they missed out on a good catch... but that is only props to you... I'd only say if you decide to look again, don't play them again unless you are certain to go with them... bit like crying wolf otherwise, and then you'll piss them off

If you really believe that god lead you to this descision then you may want to stick it out. Wouldn't want to piss the old man off.

hey buddy..
i'm sorry to hear about this...on one hand though, if the company you were interested in is now experiencing a 'slow down' its possible your new position there may have been in jeopardy if you'd gone over full time...its possible...
sounds to me like he aint mad at you at all...and thats positive...
my advice would be to take the dude out for lunch or something as a thankyou, and make it known to him what your feelings are, and that in retrospect you really would like to work there..

yeah i continually make bad job choices. my freelance track record have been very good.
I got this job through a head hunter that i've known for about 5 years. I felt a bit pressured by him and the company to take the job. I want to quit because the work is confindential and i won't be able to show anything in my portfolio. Plus no one really use the software that they are using because it's kind of new too. but i have to do a lot of Javascript and XML. The work itself isn't exciting and there are a lot of limitations to it.

Ok, i have a 1 month contract opportunity starting in 2 weeks. i am thinking about quitting and taking it if the work is good. I think i can go and get more freelance work. i've done that for the past 3 years and like it more than full time.
do you think that is a good idea?
