Hello guys...i am having font troubles in Flash...are there any pixel fonts that i can use that are clear when scaled?
i have tried:
CP Company:
http://www.fsd.it/fonts/allflash…Unibody 8:
http://www.underware.nl/site2/in…and some Miniml fonts:
http://www.miniml.com/fonts/none work...any suggestions?

Pixel fonts can only be displayed at multiples of the size they are designed for. 8pt, 16pt, 32pt etc etc...
You cannot scale them to any size and have them remain clear.

what sktII says...

so i designed something at 1024 x 768 and using the fonts 8 pt. but when i expand the window they go from clear to blurry.
how can i prevent this?

You cannot scale pixel fonts. Do not scale them or do not use pixel fonts.

noscale

but i've seen sites that have pixel fonts and the font stays clear at a smaller size and also when the browser window is maximized.
how can i accomplish this? is it in publish settings?

God, i am confused...please help.

You CANNOT scale pixel fonts.
It is possible to build a site that has some elements that scale (backgrounds etc) and not others (the fonts).

publish with low quality from flash.
voilà!

(Feb 7 06, 06:53)would i have to have the background in a separate swf file and make that scalable while the rest of the content is not? correct?
- sktII0
It doesn't need to be a seperate swf. It can all be controlled within one movie. Truth be told I haven't ever built a site using it myself.
There are people here that could help I'm sure. I've had a quick look on google but didn't find much. I'll let you know if I do.

maybe the sites you talk of use html text for the text, no embed. Which will look like a pixel font, nice and clear. or you could just not have the movie scale in the browser. Or use flash 8 which handles fonts a lot better then prev versions. As you can see, you've got options

i'll upload the .fla for you to check it out, give me few moments
- jondj240
Publik...you are uploading an example of sktII is talking about?
- PublikStar0
something like that... it's full screen flash, yes?
- PublikStar0
hope it's the one you wanted ;)

no, i just want the font to be clear when the browser window has been maximized. i have a background image that i want to 'bleed' to the edge of the browser at all times...which it is doing.
