Making Waves

  I'm trying to make a very suttle wave move from left to right across this image. To be used on a continuous loop as a background in a Flash anim:

  

  I've been trying to use the Liquify filter in PS but with little success. Anyone have a suggestion to create this effect so it looks decent?

  Perhaps a different approach might help, such as creating duplicates and altering the perspectve very slightly-

  edit>transform>perspective, or
  distort

  or maybe create duplicates, and work with changing the lighting through

  filter>render>lighting effects

  Just a thought...
