First of all - the bloke's voice is like somebody running a ruler down a chalkboard - ANNUNCIATE you nothern twat...they are obviously playing off of that.
Secondly...what are they doing that hasn't been done by countless other bands like the Kills, the strokes, and any other shitty 'The' band recently...nothing...it's all hype...malcolm mclaren is having a good chuckle again....

and then I have to read another bollocks doting review in metro this morning, wank offs.
the guy has an annoying over exaggerated northern accent which sounds fake, or at least, trying to sound more northern. the lyrics are SHIT. Middle class se3lf righteous snobs is closer to the point rather than the "poetry" the media drone on about, I swear, half th epeople writing these reviews either haven't got a clue, haven't listened and certainly haven't listened to anything outside mainstream for far toolong. This is suburban bollocks and I hate it.

So fuck if the band are hyped, a good tune is a good tune no matter who it is sung by.
I bet you look good on the dance floor is a good tune. The band might not last any distance but I will still have that tune in my collection for a long time.

I don't think there shit, but they are nowhere near the level the critics are talking about. I've given the album a couple of listens (give it a proper chance) but fail to see whats so exciting fresh and inspiring about it. it's just a bunch of half decent 3 minute guitar tunes. I listened to a couple of Who albums today and was much more excited.
