madirish > although i haven't much cash for something like a monitor, I still need it new because of the warranty etc.
When it comes to electrics I always buy new.

our neighbor just bought me round a sightly old epson 17" crt, which I am proudly using in a dual set up with my laptop.
Love working with PS etc, seeing what looks like what on different resolutions and the color difference between lcd and crt..
Very cool to have all the panels etc in Flash/PS/AE on one monitor and a clear workspace on the other. I can't go back now..

and what you asked for:
http://accessories.euro.dell.com…
I have this one... it's okay... some banding in the shadows (like all LCD's).
but it's well rated.
I also have this one:
http://www.viewsonic.com/product…it's faster, but get's more of the 'screen door' effect than the dell... this one has a bit better hardware control over color.
banding is worse on this. than the dell.

nice! I''ll look into those lot.
What I have noticed is that the screen is fine during the day. At night it's a fecking pain.
