Natural Bohemian Beer, locally known as Natty Bo' is the best beer in B'more. The logo on the can is great (its a one eyed pirate, rumored to be married to the Utz girl.)

Utz is strictly Maryland, isn't it?
- theclassof19340
they have an Utz sign right across the street from Yankee Stadium

hometown bodymore boy right hur. actually north of baltimore by 12 miles in hunt valley. I skate in the city all the time though, i dont really like the city at all. theirs not much to do compared to other places and its extremely dirty. Maryland, especially in the area I live (hunt valley) is great for raising kids if your thinkin about it. Little crime, big houses, new outdoor mall.

(Jan 27 06, 15:38)Natty Bo tastes like a skunk's arse. It's useless unless you're eating crabs.
I grew up in Baltimore—holla! there are a few good shops in town. I used to work here:
and wish I worked here:
Planit's good too. Don't go to the harbor for any other reason tho, unless you want to feed the homeless. Federal Hill, Canton, and Charles village are the places to hang out. The BMA has a nice Modern collection.
p.s. Johndiggity, give us a shout if you guys need a designer at Planit, wouldn't mind a trip back home ;)

I visit Baltimore a few times a year. The Fells Point area is great. I was heartbroken during the holidays becaause they were just about to close Crabby Dick's and everything on that strip to build condos.

I'm working at an ad agency, Gilden, and I'm not really liking it. Working under a unmotivated art director and terrible clients/work is making me pursue other options at the moment.
From what I've heard, this company has an awful rep within throughout many firms in Baltimore-many the same reasons I have for wanting to leave.
Other than that, MD is a great state, grew up in central MD (farmland!). Thanks for the heads up on places to check out, guys!

I always thought Baltimore was a really unique city when I visited it a few time while living in Va. I haven't lived or worked there but the fact that it's a 30min. train ride from DC should always be considered when thinking about the job market. It's on a beautiful harbor, and within 2-3 hour of Philly, NY, Atlantic City, DC and Richmond...

I would count on at least 4 hours to get to Baltimore from NYC. I've made the drive several times.

I grew up in annapolis with an older sister going to school at Loyola College and as far as I can tell there isn't much to Baltimore other than murder...

I used to live there a couple years back. Went to MICA, lived in Charles Village, and ate pancakes at the paper moon.

(Jan 28 06, 08:51)"Really, it's taken me 4 hours from DC to NY...and baltimore is about 45min. up the I-95...maybe with rush hour or holiday traffic it might be different.

selfproclaim,
Small world, I freelanced there a couple years ago. It was kind of a weird atmosphere. Had a helluva time getting paid.
A buddy of mine who now works at Siquis used to work there, his name's Mike Hrizuk. Know him?
p.s.—Catalone Design in Bethesda is hiring.

Born and raised in the Baltimore suburbs. I grew up visiting the harbour and downtown areas.
There's a ton of small studios there and we work for them is based out of Balto.
There's plenty of crime and disease, almost too much for a city of that size.
Great crab feasts in the summer and DC is just a 40 min trip away.

THE BEST restaurant in B'more (if you like Indian, that is), is in Charles Village near JHU, off west University
called The Ambassador
Hella good fine dining, decent prices
