I don't think the spine/rachis whatever need penetrate the 'eye' of your feather and the first line of contact info at the bottom should align to the same line as scott peacock
- craic_whore0
not a critisism, just a thought, peocock feathers have that cool oilslick shimmer, aren't there inks or varnishes that do the same sort of thing nowadays.

I still think your info on the back needs more work.
The Tail feather audio looks very Isolated. I think it's too near the top of the card. Try bringing it down to about a 3rd of the way down then have your name and underneath this your details (all ranged left). I don't like the mix between the two pieces of info. they clash.
- determinedmoth0
Fonts better.
I would like to see the details text in a lighter cut though.
- kelpie0
yeah, the illy's much better mate.
erm, can I be a cunt and say I prefered the gothic typeface? :/ though I prefer the weighting on this one.
sorry, I suck, eh?

- kelpie0
yeah, I uite like that...
you on a mac there?
- neenaw0
No. macs are for gay designers.
- paraselene0
i like this typeface more, yes. and it's much simpler with everything justified left. looks great.
- kelpie0
ah well, check your mail you fucking techie geek :(
- the-saint0
Yeah looks better, I would still have the tail feather audio a bit lower...

nice. i got some photos back the other day and one is looking up at the roof in the lift in Liberty on regent st. Theres a peacock feather frosted into the roof and it looks just like it! eeery.

i prefer the typography on the first one, although the simplicity of the left-justified version works as well
is that printing as black/white? or a rich gray? metallic?
nice and clean and simple – nice card.
i say pick a nice ink, some high quality stock, and send it off to print
- Melvetica0
I find the name feels like it's not on the same baseline as the address type. Also feels big and cumbersome compared to the address type.
I didn't mind the first one that much... it had better balance than this one.
And as suggested, a cool varnish or foil would look great on it.
- neenaw0
Thanks people. I'm going to pick an oily very dark green for the ink. A varnish is beyond the budget (£0.00) and the stock will be a matte card with a bit of texture.
Melvetica, the name isn't on the same baseline? Are you talking about the first one?
By the way, does anybody see a speaker cone in the feather?
- mr_snuggles0
* raises hand
- chossy0
better, I liked the one with the drips from the speaker, but most other people didn't which means I am tasteless.
In addition he he I never knew you was skt :D I was wondering why I sort of immediatly liked you.from chossy (with no apparent disguise).......
- craic_whore0
Could you use one or a couple of the tendrily feathers as a delimiter/hangline or a device to help with the visual balance of teh typography?
- rasko40
remove the bit of the spine that goes into the 'speaker' bit, then it may look more like a speaker
- neenaw0
Yeah, that bit has been bugging me and will probably go.
Craic_whore, the problem with that idea is the feather is cropped on all 4 sides and wouldn't want to just bring one or two of the feathers accross.
