i was in a Apple dealer over the weekend and a PB they had on display had a desktop photo of some super tall Dougals Fir trees, with extremely long trunks and just a just a little green on top.
anyone know the one I'm talking about. i'm sure it was a stock OS X image but its not on my G5 system. i need it to mock up a illustration idear.
maybe just on PBs?

go HD>library>Desktop Pictures... if its not there, you're shit outta luck.

yeah i know where to look.. its not in my system that's why i'm asking here.
they often change the desktop photo selection.. i'm guessing it might have been on a new/ older PB installer package?
pretty sure it was a default OS X pic because it was doing the slideshow with other standard OS X desktop pics.

I have that problem a lot. Quit the System Preferences and try again. Sometimes it just takes a few times to register. I have no idea why.

You're basically out of luck, unless someone sends it to you. Apple sometimes updates the stock images in their updates, did you do the latest OS update?

(Jan 23 06, 11:48)that's exactly why i posted on NT :)
i'm all up to date with my Tiger upgrades, but i think this would depend on whatever disk you originally installed OS X from, because they setup your basic system library contents.
but whatevs - i've kinda let it go now - just posted on the off chance that someone knew exactly what i was talking about.

It's in the default "forest" screensaver that comes with OSX - have it here, using OS X 10.4.4 - can't do a screencapture tho.

haha! of course.. didn't even think to check the screensavers. doh! i see it now. i can do my own grab.
thanks very much arterie!!!
