Alright, well I figured I'd post here since I'm the guy who coded a bunch of the stuff on the page.
For all those who are complaining about the blur: you're missing the point. You're focused too much on the medium, not the message. The blur is just a tool that helps to make the site a bit more immersive, that's it. It wasn't used to be "trendy", it was just used to give the site a bit more depth.
...and to those who say this could be done in 7 or below, well, you're wrong. You can't just do a little photoshop blur and have the same blur transition effect without absolutely killing your file size.
...and for those who say Sean has no skill, well, I work with the guy every day, and I know for a fact that he has tons of skill.
