aye.
btw if you keep searching for "bomb making" everyday one of these days you're bound to be picked up in a Lexus.

All Bush is going to find out by having the records reviewed is:
1) People hate him
2) People LOVE Jessica Simpson
3) What a tubgirl is
And then he'll regret ever bothering.

damn I should have bought google stock...

you have to remember that governments run countries and the laws that allow Google to operate and make tons of money are dictated through them.
end of story.

hahhaa it works again!

why do you guys hate on Google because they got huge? That philosophy pisses me of to no end. You open-source e-hippies are real bueno with your share-y-share-share attitudes and the idea is great for advancing the technology, but when a few people make a buck off it, they are the Antichrist. Opensource contributes to better things, but so does competition. Try a little balance.

JaxX, true, but how about the companies that couldn't do business with say Saddam's Iraq, or the Soviet Union or the Chinese because Western governments stood on principle (and corporations do exist because governments grant them a charter)? So now with the free market and corporations becoming the de facto states they get away with unprincipled crap that puit a man in jail in China because he spoke his mind? Are corporations accountable? Are they transparent? Or do they go wherever they can make a buck?
Answer is obvious there, I know..but it begs the question - should they operate in a larger context where they can be held accuontable for their actions?

im not a republican just dont lick googles butt, i have known for ages that google keeps records of every single search query since it started and was only time until bush wanted it, google is too big of a web monster for me and i dislike it just like people think M$ is a monster,
- spongebob0
I'd think google is a monster too if it forced people to use it and crashed every 30 minutes. :P

Are you kidding me? Of course Google is big and not to be trusted, but I'd never compare them to Microsoft. Steve Balmer is just nuts and a person I generally dislike, the google guys seem way more nicer and caring (for the right things).

The feds are doing this in an effort to protect kids from accessing porn on the net ...
"Every other search engine served similar subpoenas by the Bush administration has complied so far, according to court documents. The cooperating search engines weren't identified."
Google is being a big smelly vagina... there's nothing admirable about what they're doing.

one of the main reasons I don't like Microsoft and think it's a "monster" is because it infiltrates privacy in a big way. I think it's cool that Google's doing this. Google does a lot of dope stuff, they're on the cutting edge and they deserve to be successful - it's nice to see them fighting this government retardedness.
