V-Day should be a mutual thing... Not one sided. Who's gonna take ME out to Micky-Dee's?

yes, yes everyone knows valentines day is a corporate scam, but try telling that to your girlfriend on the 14th!! Won't fly for me.
Ideas people!!!
....please
or at least a few more witty and entertaining comments

get her a manicure and pedicure. 60 bucks tops and she'll love it. then she can stick her new fiberglass nail in your pooper while rolling in the sack. oh yeah booyee!

i suggest getting a sound girlfriend that isn't a needy materialistic bitch.

can never go wrong with flowers. double points for something other than roses

your gift should be the date/presentation. i'll do something crazy romantic and special.
for example, last year I filled the apartment with pink and white balloons and prepared a delicious meal with pork tenderloin medallions cut into heart shapes. I'm quite good at this stuff.

i had pimp ideas in highschool now i'm all out... one thing i did was
get those grade school valentine cards.... and buy a bunch of them, and on each one write "i love you" in a different language... and put it in a jar filled with chocolate treats... she'll dig it...
haha i know i'm corny but hey the ladies like it ;)

Actually, I don't like flowers much, but that's probably because my mom is obsessed with them. My house is literally a green house.

Momentum:
That's a good one if you want your girlfriend to be fat!

Valentine's Day sucks. Even if I had a boyfriend, I would still think that it sucks. Seriously.
Plus, I don't like any of the gifts except maybe chocolate. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't wear much jewellery, but that's just me.
I don't know. Maybe these days girls are looking for more unique gifts? But then I know people who like traditional stuff too.
Yeah, sorry for not being helpful. I would go for something more unique and different from traditional items.
:P

diet chocolates? or just replace the chocolates with carrots?

Yeah I'm thinking the homemade book, a few chocolates/flowers, and either a nice BBQ at home (which I'm sure she'll like based on past experiences) or a nice dinner in little italy somewhere...
Thing is its hard to keep surprises because we live together. thanks for the ideas all.

momentum...not a bad idea. You're right i do believe the ladies will dig something like that.
I'd like to do something as extravagant as gruntt, but i'm no gourmet chef (can do a hell of a BBQ though!)
actually i just thought of a good idea.... I'm going to hand-make her a book. I've always wanted to do something like that. i'll fill it with photos of us and schmoopy notes and my artwork and stuff. i think she'll really like it and it would take her by surprise

Veterans Day always calls for an M-16 or two.
Ohhhhhhh you meant Valentines Day, melted chocolates and wilted flowers

Last year, every single girl in my university class (so that means about 200+ of them) brought their boyfriends to class.
*cough*whipped*cough*
This year I have a mid-term on the 14th.
