My cuz just started his first job after college on monday with IBM - this is the graining spiel he has to memorise and regurgitate all week - to think this is what a first degree in computer science gets you these days!

I've a friend who used to work for IBM in Portsmouth. They got "strikes". If you accidentally left a fax or a print out on your desk without filing it or shredding it, you'd come into the work the next day to find a strip of bright yellow "VIOLATION" tape tapped accross your desk. You'd then have to go explain yourself before removing the tape and going back to work.

They basically put him through a rigorous interview process then sit him at a desk all day with nothing to do but 'distance learning' with this stephen hawking shit! What a waste of peoples talents. Us designers should count ourselves lucky!
