Could www.famousfor15mb.com be anymore of a ripoff of www.15megsoffame.com? I mean, come on.

laughably unoriginal idea but you've got to love some of the genres ... folk-drone?! doom-drone?!

no.

yes, it could be 15megsffameII.com

... and may the best site prosper.
its true its a bit of a rip of the concept but if it gets the hits and users then surely theres a market for this sort of thing.
I'm sure Mr Sainsburys didnt say "ach theres already a shop called Safeway and Tesco that sell groceries already ... i dont think i'll bother opening a shop".
Coke / Pepsi
McDonalds/Burgerkingits all consumer or user preference!

yeah but Mr Sainsbury didn't call his shop Desco.

Isn't it supposed to be about the artists trying to get heard, and not about the site? So who cares?

Haha, that was the first thing I thought. I searched for a tiny Skinnycorp logo.
Maybe they start a Tshirt company.
"Thredlest"?

if www.famousfor15mb.com keeps it as JUST 15 on their homepage then archive it per month then id probably have more reason to give them my tunes to feature no their site.
the reason being that there is more chance of my stuff being heard by more people.
the original that this is said to be copying has wayyyy too big an archive of bands and genres etc so theres far less chance of someone stumbling across my work.i like the simplicity of the unoriginal :)

But you'd think they'd at least go 16megs, or even 17. Raise the bar a little bit. They're still hacks though.
