i just pasted in my comments from a couple hours ago.
i don't care if it was ripped or not. it's a weak logo either way until the designer puts some more thought into the use of the ligature, like the Superfamous logo which doubles as an "8".

that is true, superfamous at least worked with it, instead of just picking a typeface. but still mrs. eaves ligature is quite popular.
