First one is the new brand.

the second logo is one of the strongest identities of the computer industry, now sadly defunct.
so many logos are now sinking in the banality of rounded shadey colourishess, expressing not the brand identity but the lowest common denominator of consumer-accepted aesthetic correctness.
for god's sake I hope IBM doesn't follow the same
path.
