Working from home i guess... unless the boss wants to put me up in a hotel room until the strike ends.

if you get some gloves and a scarf, riding a bike isn't bad until it gets below zero... i'd probably be sweating balls after the commute

Gonna ride my BMX and Skateboard...it's 14˙ here though. It wouldn't be so bad if it was in the Spring or Summer. They have until Midnight tonight to figure everything out. If they strike, tomorrow morning is going to be a Cluster F#@* getting into NYC.

i heard on the grapevine that negociations aren't even close to being settled... it's actually amazing, bloomberg is encouraging people to ride bikes to work, it's a pitty the weather isn't nicer, that would be hella cool thing for everyone in nyc to do...

I might crash at my friends place as she lives in midtown which is a few blocks from where I work, but I doubt the strike will really happen.

Last MTA stike the city had was in the 80's....it lasted 11 days. 11 days without public transportation. I cannot image this place without it. At least we know where the "shoes with suit" trend started.

if that does go down, how long would it last? it seems like with 85% of the city relying on public transport, they'd get on the ball really fast

that's fucking ridiculous. I'll be in Jersey this weekend.

i use the LIRR...
wtf...
"A strike fare of $4.00 (each way) will be charged for travel within the city at all times."
- JazX0
haha ohhh sh*t. shut-down to the Bronx

if the bossman sais that, you work as normal for an hour at home, then call him up and say your internet connection is down.
now thats if you work on the net :)

what are you fellow NYers gonna do if this goes down?
