What's up with that?
Looks like all is dying, very little people seem to understand the term "collaborative community" anymore.I'm not against new people joining in everyday, but if someone is asking for help, there is no need to bring up the sarcasm, irony or negativity, if you can't help that person don't reply. Most of us, had the need of an extra hand in the past, and found it right here, common sense should tell you, that you should pass that along to the next user, so we can all bennefit from it. Some day, you will be in need of help, and the last thing you want is a smart ass making fun of your situation.
I know there is a lof of exceptions here, but as I keep reading posts on the PVN I find this kind of response growing, and I wish it would go away, that's all.
Thanks to everyone that had helped me in the past, or at least had the good intentions to do so. :)

I have the tendency to try and come up with something as crude and clever as I can...sometimes it's just a rebutal contest. Sorry.

I try to help as many people as possible, regardless of political affiliations or love or hate for something.

Haha, ppl say that I ruin the fun sometimes b/c I answer the question (asked by the thread starter) seriously.

I know you do JazX, you are one of the old sCOOLers.. ;)
Get it?

Common sense deems that asking for a vector of the hollywood sign or what font someones pissing handwriting is or how to draw a fucking circle, are retarded questions and deserve their own special brand of karma.
happy days :)

Not to downplay the negetivity that you pooint out, but I find that even when people are being smart asses, there's usually just as many people willing to help. I just disregard the negative comments, or laugh em off.
There's a lot of 'hate-on' threads around here lately, too. That's a little annoying, but people come out of the woodowork to defend great artists under fire.

I only wish I could remember what the early days of NT were really like - I slightly recall them through slightly rose-tinted glasses, because there was lot's of stupidity evident even then.
I do know that I left NT for a good 6 months at one point because of the direction I felt it was going at the time, but that was a long time ago and I've been back a good long while.
I guess, like many things, there are ups and there are downs - one thing I do know is that "familiarity certainly breeds contempt" ..or at least.. I can have "too much of a good thing".

thats the reason I dont come round here so much anymore... too much negativity. It use to be more laid back...

Yeah, the occasional "Search the fucking PVN" isn't akarmic and can actually make me feel quite good.

Great sentiments the meeklo, however can we refrain from the use of this 'karma' word, especially in what is Christ the Lord's season - I'm sure not many of us are follower of these pseudo religions so really we should be talking 'goodwill to all men' and of 'good Christians' dont you think, all this far eastern mumbo jumbo is all well and good for those fancy karate chop films but let's not forget who the real Lord is eh?
Peace to you all and Happy Christmas!!!!!
- Nairn0
The real lord? Is it Rand?
- chz0
ahh the good ol days... when NT was about design, helping others and collaboration.
now its just about who can spout more shit than the next guy and useless threads.

(Dec 14 05, 10:05)Search the PVN never works. I know I've seen threads before and when I try and look for it it never comes up.
I just forget about it because I'm afraid of the timeline or search responses.
- Jaline0
Definitely Nairn. I left for almost a year.

(Dec 14 05, 10:05)I know you have great intentions, but I have never ment to start a religion discussion in here. whatever your choice of religion is, you understood the concept, and that's what matters.
thanks!

sarcasm is cheap humour.
