I think so.
Im saying that he leans heavily to one side. Im also saying cage sucks live or otherwise. So does Aesop Rock. Except on Preservation with DEL. Also Lif sucks now. Dont even get me started with Yak Ballz.

ok, two people responded to that statement i made, but it wasn't directed at either of them. someone up there said to compare any 2 tracks by el-p in the past 5 years and they're all versions of each other.
they're similar, sure, but i definitely see enough progression and change that it doesn't get stale. that's all.

Check out the Def Jux cage promo by DJ big whizz. Sickest hip hop mix I have heard for years. Very different from the cage in this song.

No, but I do at times criticize stuff I think is subpar. I guess Im just not that into the whole indie rock hip hop thing. Sole from Atmosphere, what happened to him? Overcast was one of the best albums/EPs of the last half of the nineties. Then it all went down hill.

I never wanted Slug to change, as I said Overcast was one of the best Hip Hop albums of the late nineties. Dyno Spectrum, awesome. But He did change, for MTV. He is there now, Im not, but I guess I am happy for him. You too.

i rarely see an underground group make a 'classic' hiphop album, or whatever, i enjoy it as a whole tho
to see the transformation into commercial w/o losing credibility is a hard thing...so
when it happens i'll be assured
